Loop Hero Sells Half A Million Copies In First Week, More Content Coming

Loop Hero has seen big commercial and critical success since it launched earlier this month, and with half a million copies sold in its first week developer Four Quarters has begun work on working new updates for its addictive roguelike. New speed settings, new rewards that defeated bosses will drop, and quality-of-life updates are in the pipeline, according to the developer, as well as game content such as new cards, character classes, and transformations will be added in the months to come.

“Next up, we’re working on patches with quality-of-life updates you all asked for, including a system for saving during expeditions, new speed settings, and a deck of traits gained from bosses,” Four Quarters wrote in a Steam blog update. “After that, you can expect to see lots more content added to the game, such as new cards, transformations, classes, and new music.”

Little Dragons Cafe Review – Dragging On

Little Dragons Cafe defies categorization. Despite being the latest endeavor from Harvest Moon creator Yasuhiro Wada, it’s not a farming sim. While you have to manage your cafe, keeping the staff in line and adjusting the menu to fit your needs, it’s also not really a management sim. You instead split your time between exploring with your dragon to hunt down recipes and ingredients and going hands-on at the cafe–and they combine to make a strangely satisfying loop. But Little Dragons Cafe is also held back by frustrating pacing problems in its story and progression, as well as technical hiccups that make it feel outdated.

In Little Dragons Cafe, you’re one of a pair of twins whose mother has fallen into a deep sleep. You learn that she’s part dragon, and in order to save her, you need to raise a dragon while also running the family cafe. You meet new cafe customers with problems of their own, and one by one, you help each of them through their struggles (m…

Lord Of The Rings Gollum Game To Expand Tolkien's Story

A new narrative action-adventure game will take a deeper look at the story of Gollum, the pitiful creature at the heart of the Lord of the Rings series. The Lord of the Rings – Gollum from Daedalic Entertainment is slated for 2021, with platforms to be determined.

The story will follow the life of Smeagol, aka Gollum, as he finds and becomes corrupted by the One Ring. It will follow the events of the novels, so we all know where he ends up (spoilers: in a volcano), but the story promises “new events and details related to Gollum’s journey.” Middle-earth Enterprises, the rights-holder for Tolkein’s LOTR series, said in the announcement that this game will be “lore-centric” and “uniquely matched to the complex, deeply-nuanced world.”

Right now it’s due on PC, as well as whichever console platforms are “relevant” at the time. This appears to be the first of several planned partnerships between Daedalic and Middle-earth Enterprises.

“We tell Gollum’s story from a persp…

Marvel Rivals Trailer Shows Just How Much Of A Sticky Menace Spider-Man Really Is

Marvel Rivals developer NetEase has shown off a new trailer for its upcoming PvP shooter game, teasing more of Spider-Man’s unique offense. Swinging into action to face off against fellow heroes and villains in the Timestream Entanglement crisis, Spider-Man does everything that you’d expect a hero possessing the proportionate speed, strength, and agility of a spider to be capable of. One fun twist here is that players can run along walls as Spidey, gaining a distinct traversal advantage in the heat of battle.

Beyond that, Spider-Man can swing around the semi-destructible stages, unleash a barrage of web-attacks, and ground opponents with his ultimate attack. The video also showed off some of the different outfits that Spidey can wear, as you’ll be able to dress him up as the rebellious Spider-Punk or as the bombastic Bag-Man.
